-Description

The Grand Seiko (GS) was born in 1960 with the determination to "create the world's finest wristwatch", and with all the component precision, assembly and adjustment technology that had been cultivated up to that point.

This watch, called the 56GS, is one of the models equipped with the Cal. 56xx automatic movement with 36,000 BPH (high-beat), and after this 56GS, the Grand Seiko will cease production.

As you can see, the 5646-7005 has a case made of 18K yellow gold, which is quite rare for a Grand Seiko.

The hallmark on the caseback of the watch is engraved with the purity designation 750, as well as the Hinomaru(The national flag of Japan), indicating that it is certified by the Japanese Mint.

The curved design is reminiscent of Gerald Genta's C-case design.

The dial has a pattern that can be described as linen or embossed tapestry dial.

The white dial has turned slightly ivory with age.

The movement is a automatic Cal. 5646A.

Although it is a solid gold watch, unlike current watches, it is not too glittering and has a good balance.
