-Description

Patek Philippe is a watchmaker founded in Geneva in 1839. The company makes watches without any compromise by utilizing its unparalleled quality and technical expertise.

Along with Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet, it is known as the Big Three, one of the world's three major brands, and it is no exaggeration to say that it has established a special position among them.

In addition to being one of the world's finest manufactures, the extremely small number of watches produced makes this brand synonymous with luxury watches. The independence of being a family-run business and the reliability of knowing that all watches can be repaired create value as an asset that can be passed down through generations.

This is the Calatrava ref.3579, the pinnacle of classic dress watches and the brand's iconic watch.

The ref.3579 is a very rare Calatrava model with a screw-back stainless steel case.

This watch is known among collectors as it is not available in a gold or platinum precious metal case and is only available in stainless steel.

The watch was manufactured for only about five years, from 1969 to 1974, a very short period of time, making it a rare watch to be seen.

The C-line case with flat bezel is both functional and beautiful. The case size of 33mm is exquisite.

The bezel, lugs, and sides of the case are all finished in different ways, which is a part of Patek's typical delicacy.

The dial is a blue dial with a sunburst finish. In the archives, it is described as NIght-blue, a slightly subdued blue color.

Another interesting feature of this watch is that the dial has a one-step-down structure.

The silver dial is more often seen on the same reference, and the blue is a relatively rare variation.

The condition remains very good for a blue dial of the older age, and the vivid hue is evident. The combination of multi-faceted three-dimensional bar indexes and pencil hands is highly legible.

The movement is the hand-wound Cal.23-300 PM.

This caliber is a thinner version of the Cal.10-200 and uses a Gyromax balance, making it the thinnest Patek 10-type (23mm diameter) movement.

It is renowned for its high level of perfection, and its quality is proven by the fact that it was used for approximately 22 years since it was first released in 1956.

PM stands for Piton Mobile, which means that the handle is movable, improving earthquake resistance and ease of maintenance.

This watch was completely serviced by Patek Philippe in 2023. It was unopened and unused after that, but was opened for photography purposes.

It comes with the service return box, leather case, genuine steel buckle, and service paper.
