-Description

Patek Philippe is a manufacturer founded in Geneva in 1839. The company makes watches that allow no compromise at all by utilizing its overwhelming quality and technical capabilities.

The independence of the family management and the reliability that all watches can be repaired create a value as an asset that can be handed down from generation to generation.

The Calatrava collection has its roots in Ref.96, known as Kunroku, introduced in 1932.

The name Calatrava comes from the Calatrava cross (Croix de Calatrava), which is also the emblem of the brand. The cross originates from a 12th-century Spanish knightly crest.

The design of this watch is directly inspired by the Bauhaus philosophy that "function determines form", which has become a model for modern watch design.

Reference3796 was released in 1982.It is a legitimate successor to the original Ref.96 design.

The case size is 30.5mm, the same as Ref.96. It is slightly small size.

The case is made of 18K rose gold, the "R" in 3796R being the first letter of the French word Rose, meaning pink.

The lugs integrated with the case and the flat bezel design are the most distinctive features of the Series 96 Calatrava.

The dial is an ivory dial with pearl dots around the periphery.

The bullet-shaped applied indexes and dauphine hands are made of the same 18K rose gold as the case, accentuating the sense of unity with the case.

Both are multifaceted cuts, and it can be said that Calatrava's major feature is that both beauty and visibility are compatible.

The movement is a manual-wind Cal.215 PS.

It is a very classic thin manual-wind movement.  It has sufficient performance even today, and is also used in the current model Ref. 5196.

Comes with a box, warranty paper(date and store name are not filled in), genuine rose gold buckle, and a service paper by Patek Philippe service center in Japan at the time
